I’m Kerensa Faragher and I’m the Pastoral Mentor for Sixth Form.

I’ve worked at Theale Green School for 13 years. My primary role as Pastoral Mentor is to ensure the well-being of our Sixth Form students and to guide, encourage and support them to become confident, independent and resilient during their time with us.

I’ll support their attendance and keep an eye on their time management and commitment to their studies and I will liaise with and be a point of contact for home, teaching staff and tutors and together we will help to ensure that that they reach their full potential by the time they leave us at the end of Year 13. We’re a close-knit Sixth Form and this allows us to get to know our students really well and develop and understand their individual needs.

I’m based in the Sixth Form office so I’m always on hand to help with any issues, problems or concerns that may arise and my door is always open if anyone has any worries or just wants to have a chat. I always have plenty of biscuits to hand and my priority is to ensure that all of the students feel safe, encouraged and supported and understand that no problem is too small to be shared.

I am very much looking forward to welcoming our new Year 12’s into Sixth Form in September and getting to know them really well.
