Theale Green invited pupils from local primary schools to join in the fun of two days of sports festivals, run by our team of sports leaders in Years 10 and 11.

On Tuesday 10 October, Key Stage 2 students from four local primaries took part in footgolf, where the skills of both football and golf are combined in an outdoor format. It is a relatively new hybrid sport that is taking off across the country.

On the following Wednesday, Key Stage 1 students from another six primaries took part in a multi-skills festival which incorporated archery, curling, speed stacking and golf.

Joe Buxton,  School Sports Coordinator said: “We are really pleased to have hosted two primary school festivals which engaged so many students. A great deal of fun was had by the students, taking part in many activities they had never done before. We are really looking forward to hosting many more primary school festivals through out the year.”

Both days were a great success and involved more than 100 students across 10 different primary feeder schools. Our Sports Leaders were amazing ambassadors for the school and received lots of great feedback from participating schools.
