As part of British Science Week, the Science Department asked the students to celebrate another Great British institution and make a Science themed bake for the Theale Green Great Science Bake Off.
Students were asked to put their thinking hats on and make something that had a Science theme, from making pizza cell – to making a model out of cake – to doing an edible science experiment.
Staff were not disappointed, with some great entries coming in. The overall winners were…
Gold – Charlotte Hendricks – 8-4: Charlotte made a model animal cell from cake
Silver – Megan Lockley – 8-1: Megan made a representation of sucrose from sweets on a sponge cake
Bronze – Eddie Riches – 8-1: Eddie did an edible science experiment and made honeycomb
