Year 11 students at Theale Green School are celebrating this morning after receiving their GCSE results.

Eager students picked up their results this morning, having waited anxiously over the summer.

This group of GCSE students is the first cohort at Theale Green School since the school began its journey of growth and this extraordinary group includes two sets of twins! Whilst they chose different GCSE subjects, one set almost managed to achieve the same grades in their subjects, an achievement in itself!

We are so proud of all our students who have shone in so many ways in their time with us, academically and in sports, arts and by being active members of the school community. Their hard work and focus have led to the following results:

  • 60% achieved a 9-4 grade in English and Maths
  • Department highlights include an outstanding 93% achieved grade 5 or higher in Sports Studies
  • Students achieved grade 4 and higher passes in: French 70%, Spanish 100%, Biology 63% and Physics 62%

Some standout results include:

  • Ava Brittain
  • Tiago Fernandez Dias Carneiro
  • Maddie Ward
  • Noah Radley

These incredible young people achieved 22 top grade 8 and 9 results between them, and we just know are destined for great things.

Headteacher at Theale Green School, Charlotte Badarello, said:

“This incredible group of students thoroughly deserve the excellent results they have achieved today in spite of significant disruption during the key transition point of moving to secondary school. They have overcome many challenges along the way, but have been wonderful ambassadors for the school, and to younger students.  We look forward to welcoming them in to our Sixth Form.”

Our vision is to ‘Transform Lives Through Learning’ and we look forward to welcoming our new cohort of Year 12 students into Sixth Form in September to continue our upwards trend of results and wish well to those going on to other post 16 destinations.

Theale Green School is continuing to support students by providing information, advice and guidance on GCSE results day.
