The Houses

Benyon

Our mascot is a lion and the collective noun for a group of lions is a pride. Everyone in our house, students and staff alike make up the mighty Benyon pride! Benyonites have demonstrated time and again that as individuals and as a team we stand out from the crowd as winners and this is something we want to continue. Our fierce loyalty, competitive spirit and the ability to withstand pressure along with our positive attitudes drives us forward and inspire us to excel socially, emotionally and academically. We are great! Let’s celebrate this and share our greatness! GO BENYON!

Hunt

Hunt house students and staff embody the spirit of the tiger, we are tempestuous yet calm, warm-hearted yet fearsome, courageous in the face of danger yet yielding and warm hearted and welcoming. Tigers are very confident, love adventures, and are addicted to excitement it is better not to challenge a Tiger’s confidence. Our staff and students show determination and passion to work together as an ambush for the success of the House. Hunt house has a great history of winning at Theale Green School, and with the support of all students and staff the Govenors cup is Hunts for the taking.

Piper

Piper staff and students are confident enough to know their potential and wise enough to know they are part of a larger team. They are proud of long list of great things their house has achieved over the years and are eager to make that list even longer! They have a competitive edge that is razor sharp with a wit to match. They embody the majesty and power that their dragon mascot symbolises, even if they do so with a reserved and quiet confidence. House piper students think outside the box. When addressed with the simple question “what animal shall be your mascot?” House Piper students are the ones with the cunning and cleverness to realise mythical animals are on the table!

Scott

For centuries, people have seen eagles as a symbol of beauty, bravery, courage, honour, pride, determination, and grace. This bird is important and symbolic to our house because of its characteristics. Scott staff and students embody all of these traits through their collective determination to work together as a team. Eagles are about the long game, and the impact. Eagles are tenacious, they are caring and supportive of their young and fly high above all others.
