Theale Green School has retained the School Games Platinum Mark Award for the third academic year!

The award marks the school’s continued success in developing sporting opportunities for pupils. TGS is the only school in West Berkshire to have gained this prestigious award!

The School Games Mark is a government-led award scheme, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, to reward and recognise schools’ engagement in school games against a national benchmark and to celebrate keeping young people active.

TGS is delighted to have been recognised for its success and continue to believe in the power of physical activity.

Director of Sport and PE Tony Blinco: “We are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of physical activity and school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our events possible.”

Maxine Smiles Cooke, School Sport Network Manager, West Berkshire said: “I just wanted to send a huge congratulations to you all for gaining Platinum Award again
for the outstanding opportunities Theale Green provide for their students, teachers
and parents through school sport and physical activity. The PE Department’s enthusiasm and professionalism never fails to amaze me and they give so very much to the school and community.”
