Year 6 Transition
The transition between primary and secondary school is an incredibly exciting time for families. We know that so many families will be experiencing a mixture of emotions as their child joins us and we look forward to working with you to make your child’s transition as smooth as possible. Our transition programme is designed to gather as much information about your child from them, you and your child’s current school to plan for their successful journey at Theale Green School. We hope we can help to answer some of the questions that might arise before you join us in September.

Your transition journey – what to expect?
Who will support my child’s transition to Theale Green School?
Our transition team is made up of highly trained staff who also have experienced transition from primary and secondary as parents themselves. The team cover all aspects of SEND, pastoral support, safeguarding and will be able to answer any questions you have along the way. From June onwards, a transition call can be booked with a key member of staff to share information relevant to your child and ask any specific questions you may have.
