Theale Green School is celebrating an extraordinary sporting achievement after being awarded the prestigious Platinum School Games Mark Award for the fifth consecutive year.
The award places Theale Green School among an elite group of schools nationally. Out of more than 25,000 primary and secondary schools across England, only 190 schools have achieved the Platinum Award for five years in a row, highlighting the school’s unwavering commitment to sport, physical activity and student wellbeing.
The School Games Mark is a government-led award scheme, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, which recognises schools for their commitment to providing high-quality sporting opportunities and promoting active lifestyles. The Platinum Award is the highest accolade available and celebrates excellence across participation, competition, leadership, inclusion and physical wellbeing.
Theale Green School has consistently demonstrated its dedication to ensuring all students have access to a wide range of sporting opportunities, encouraging participation at every level while developing young leaders, volunteers and role models through sport.
This remarkable fifth consecutive Platinum Award reflects the passion, hard work and commitment of the school’s PE and Sport Department, staff, students and wider community.
